Rahul can not be examined on SPG protection

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition filed against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for withdrawing its SPG security. The plea of Chief Justice Geeta Mittal and Justice C. Harishankar told PTI. The provisional CJ said that the bench should not be a suitable platform and the government should take a view on security issues. If any activity is needed, the official authority should consider it. Union Government Standing Counsel Anilson said Gandhi’s withdrawal of security was irresponsible. If anything happens, we will be responsible for it. Mumbai BJP MLA Tuhin Sinha filed a petition asking Gandhi to make a letter to the court saying he would not travel without SPSP cover unless Gandhiji should not escape SPG security net. The petitioner argued that the incident happened in the flood victims in August, when some people were shouting over Gandhi’s car. The petitioner argued that Rahul Gandhi was violating the security protocol and even going abroad.
